As a Freelance Social Media Consultant, I analyzed and processed data from social media platforms and online forums to provide brands with a snapshot of customer behaviors and opinions. I evaluated both quantitative and qualitative data, and presented findings in intuitive digital formats.

As the Oaxaca Program Coordinator, I designed, facilitated and evaluated the dance and nutrition program for 380 women and children, coordinated skills training workshops and directed the development of microfinance initiatives. As the Fundraising and Communications Assistant, I oversaw donor databases, wrote grant proposals, and managed the organization's social media pages.

As a Fellow, I continued the dance and health education program I began for 40 women in two communities surrounding Oaxaca de Juárez. I worked with AMEXTRA, community members and local students to create a sustainable dance class and health education program promoting peaceful relations between women of opposing political factions.

As assistant publicist for the book, Border Odyssey: Travels Along the US/Mexico Divide, I raised awareness about policy and human rights issues on the US-Mexico border, coordinated book promotion events, moderated the book's Facebook page and managed contact databases.

Oaxaca De Juárez Area, Mexico

As an intern, I assessed the sense of community in two villages and implemented a pilot program of dance and nutrition classes aimed at building community among women from opposing political factions. I also conducted in-depth interviews, completed homestays and analyzed data from sense of community and dance evaluation survey tools.

Durham, North Carolina

As an intern with SAF, I conducted health assessments and health education sessions (Spanish language) with migrant farmworkers from Mexico. With a grant from the Duke Global Health Institute's Student Research Training Program, I also led survey research evaluating the effectiveness of SAF’s educational theater program.

At the United Way of North Carolina, I created new Spanish language brochures to increase the organization's Latino volunteer participation rates. I additionally conducted research assessing relationships between local United Ways and hospitals.

At the Public School Forum of NC, I worked closely with the Director of Policy to compose a new "Child Nutrition"​ section and update the "Policymaking" section of the Policymaker’s Education Primer 2012. I also assisted with the Friday Report news releases.
