I capitalized on a unique opportunity to develop and launch the first cell therapy (Yescarta) for lymphoma. Designed and build a unique high functioning department customized for the challenges of cell therapy. Advised on new technology add-on payments (NTAP) and Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER). Presented to CMS. Informed the structure of Kite after the Gilead acquisition ($12B).

Built and led the Medical Affairs Department. Developed a strategic research program. Worked with the EC and BOD on expansion, strategic market positioning, and reimbursement. Served on the Disclosures and Corporate Compliance committees. Four launches of Imbruvica in 14 months. Pharmacyclics was acquired by Abbvie in 2015 ($21B).

Based on the ability to foresee gaps and opportunities that help a company evolve, I strategically reorganized the medical field teams and large research program of more than 300 investigator initiated studies and 2 large phase 4 registries. Launched Abraxane in lung cancer and Pomalyst in multiple myeloma. Leadership role in the integration of Abraxis Biosciences in 2010.

Gloucester was a rare privately held biotech that gained FDA approval. After Gloucester was acquired by Celgene in 2010 for $640M, I had leadership roles in the integration and Istodax launch.

Strategically expanded the oncology Regional Medical Liaisons (RML), to cover the extensive oncology portfolio (marketed products and late-stage pipeline). Led the team through the launch of expanded labels for Aranesp and Neulasta and the initial launch of Vectibix.

Joined the newly created Medical Affairs division and built the Global Medical Writing department. Covered all therapeutic areas.

Led the Medical Writing team for the Aranesp-oncology biologic license application (BLA). Contributed to the Aranesp-nephrology BLA. Wrote other regulatory documents including Investigator's Brochures, clinical section of BLA, IND, end-of-phase 2 and pre-BLA briefing books
