Assisted in Dr. Marisa Palucis' geomorphology lab under PhD candidate Emma Rogers researching basaltic sediment transport on Mars using terrestrial analogs. - Categorized and analyzed over 1200 rock samples in Adobe Photoshop from a Hawaiian alluvial fan. - Ran MATLAB code to determine overall roundness of the rock samples and draw conclusions as to their transportation. - Assisted in field work in Mojave Desert, California, February 2023 and March 2024- Completed pebble counts and analyses on over 3500 rock samples collected in the Mojave. - Completed a three term research project which included a literature review of clast morphology along the traverse of NASA's Mars Science Laboratory Rover Curiosity in Gale Crater. From this literature review, I used ArcGIS Pro to create over 10 maps of the clast roundess and abundance along Curiosity's traverse.Research is funded by NASA's Solar System Workings, Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES).
