I've devoted my career to organizations and services that make a tremendous difference in people's lives. I’m deeply inspired by the life-changing work being done in my community—and privileged to have played a part in empowering others. As Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of CAPA, I’m part of a strong performing arts community that’s dedicated to bringing high-quality programming to diverse audiences. At CAPA, we’re not only bringing national and international artists to the citizens of central Ohio, but we collaborate with the greater performing arts community to nurture more inclusive services and provide experiences that match a variety of audiences and interests. In my experience, accomplishing big things together as a community requires:• developing and implementing a strategic vision• building a network of strong relationships• advocating within the community to keep people engaged and informed I'm drawn to a servant-leadership approach—I enjoy working collaboratively across an organization. In my experience, cultivating relationships and giving diverse voices an outlet is the most meaningful path to lasting success. As a native of Germany, moving to the U.S. as a teenager taught me a great deal about how to understand and adapt to new cultures and approaches. Outside of work, I alternate between vigorous exercise and quiet time to recharge. I also love to get lost in a captivating mystery novel or a great concert.
