In my current role as the Head of Strategic Research at Kidzink, a design and manufacturing company specialising in school furniture design with a keen focus on pedagogy, interior design, and architecture, I draw from my extensive background as an educator and innovator.Having spent a decade in the field of Design and Technology education, I now find myself based in Dubai, where my mission is to bring fresh and innovative projects to students of all ages. Over the years, I've had the privilege of crafting engaging curriculum resources and initiatives for students across all Key stages, including GCSE, iGCSE, ALevel, and IB, consistently achieving remarkable success.My journey has been marked by active involvement in various STEAM projects and initiatives such as F1 in Schools, 4x4 in Schools, Robotics, and more, both at national and international levels. My core educational goal remains centered on expanding opportunities for learners through curriculum enhancements and collaborative efforts with other educational institutions.One of my most recent and rewarding contributions has been in the development of the DICE (Design, Innovation, Computing, and Enterprise) curriculum. This pioneering curriculum prioritizes Design Thinking, Innovation, and Creativity, equipping students with interdisciplinary skills and a deep understanding of their subjects. This endeavor has also led me to co-host a number of National and International events, with a strong emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals.I firmly believe that enriching students' experiences beyond the classroom, through a hands-on approach, is key to their academic success. This involves fostering strong connections with parents, industry partners, and the local and global community to create a well-rounded and impactful learning environment.
