I lead the legal and compliance department and am a member of the management team for the Woodruff Arts Center, the third largest U.S. arts center and home to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the High Museum of Art and the Alliance Theatre. In addition to my nonprofit experience, I am a recognized leader in navigating legal and regulatory challenges for public and privately-held companies. My focus is on minimizing company risk and maximizing growth and revenue. Previously, I led the 15 person law department of Aaron's, Inc., a $2B+ publicly traded specialty retailer in the US and Canada. I was a member of the company's 10 person executive management team and chaired the company's political action committee. Prior to assuming my role at Aaron’s, I served as Corporate Counsel, Business Operations/Merchandising for Home Depot where I led the negotiation and drafting of licensing and strategic agreements with Fortune 500 companies. While serving as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for The Athlete's Foot Stores, I led negotiations and drafted agreements in connection with international and domestic franchise deals and corporate finance transactions, including completion of a $33 million asset-backed securitization and a $20 million credit facility.
