As a Digital Content Intern, I worked on the Irving Institute Engagement Core Ressource site called Get Healthy Heights which promotes health and wellbeing in Inwood and Washington Heights. I worked on making the site more friendly for adult users by keeping it updated so they will be able to see the services offered in the community. I also wrote and proofread web and social media content and tracked, analyzed and reported web metrics and how the community interacted with the sites to my superiors.

As an intern at East Harlem Tutorial Program, I worked closely with the teachers and students in order to help assist them and get them ready for the following year. This meant making sure that the students were on task, helping them with their work in classes like math or technology where they used Python to control robots and learned how to code but using leadership skills and serving as a liaison between the students and the teachers.

During my internship at Bleu Life Magazine, I worked with the founder De’von and his tech crew on designing and customizing the Magazine’s website using coding skills. I also Participated in the development of various products within the Bleu Magazine family brand project such as BAAGD: A mobile food delivery app similar to Postmates and Task Rabbit.

During the summer intensive at All Star Code, I learned various coding languages such as Python, CSS, JavaScript and HTML. Having acquired these skills, at the end of the intensive, I with other fellow alumnus and the help of our teachers use those new acquired skills to make an encrypted texting app which we presented at google in front of different companies, entrepreneurs and CEO’s.On top of that i also acquired new skills and built on the ones I had such as teamwork, time management, public speaking, presentation but also networking.
