Graduated from Montana State University in 2024 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology. In the final year, I worked with a team to create an "Environmentally Robust Roll Switch" for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This switch was to activate if spun at or above 4 RPS for between 2-4 seconds. The part that makes it environmentally robust is that it needs to survive a thermal, shock, drop, vibration, and explosive test. At the end of the year, our team went to LANL and conducted these tests in person, where our design performed well.In my free time through college, I developed and tested plans for an individually manufactured firearm design of a mostly polymer construction created primarily through additive manufacturing. Through this project I developed a comprehensive understanding of polymer-based additive manufacturing, and the ability to design around these more limiting materials.Mechanical Engineering Technology is the same as Mechanical engineering but with a focus on being able to create designs with improved manufacturing characteristics.
