I was an average kid growing up in school. It wasn't until Junior High or High School when I started to excel in math. I grew a love for learning about different fields in mathematics, and solving problems. Upon graduation, I decided to study statistics at BYU-I.While studying, I have had opportunities to apply the things I'm learning to help companies I work for, as well as help me in my passions. From creating dashboards in excel using code in VBA, gathering data from databases by writing queries, and wrangling data to find insights to promote data driven decisions. For myself, I gathered elk harvest data from the Idaho Fish and Game, wrangled the data, and created several visualizations and used a General Additive regression Model to predict harvest success in each unit.I love learning new things and stretching myself. In the future I would love to use these skills in businesses, government, and in my own hobbies like elk hunting.I love spending time in the outdoors. Growing up in Idaho, I developed passions for skiing and snowboarding, white water rafting, hunting, fishing, and everything in between.
