  The project manager would bid a custom design for sinks, countertops, hearths, mantels, floor to sealing surrounds and other projects. He would cad the design as a rough draft. Then we use 3-D templating to measure scribes in the wall, framing, and for many other things relevant to the design. The cnc was used to cut pieces of the mold that make contact with the walls and framing to get tight fit ever with any curves changes in the wall. The whole team shared the responsibilities to operate cnc, build molds, pour, demold, grind, process, acid etch, seal, and install. One responsibility exclusive to me was to build and weld out casting tables. We did custom colors, different levels of shine and etch. Some people wanted shine/matte, variations in the piece/even tone, wholes/entirely non-porous, and anything on the color wheel. I was responsible for testing batches with precision measurements, and pouring 20” sample panels. Using excel, and documenting these measurements I would make small changes and pour each time I adjusted the batch. After 1-3 test pours, the new color and finish was perfect. Excel would then scale the batch up to the 100/400 lbs, to pour the mold for the actual project. I saved the batch to recreate in case anything needed to be replaced. The attention to detail at concrete shop west put us in the parade of homes every year, and worked in some of the most high end homes in Utah. We worked in small team both in the shop and on the job site. I have learned to think for myself, but communicate, and ask questions. I also learned how to balance being efficient and producing a high quality product.
