Saint John's University Benedictine Volunteer Corps, is a volunteer program that sends volunteers to Chile, Tanzania, Guatemala, New York, Italy and Israel to serve and provide help to social programs run by Benedictine Monks in those countries. From, teaching to working on the fields. Mission:To provide a student or alumnus of Saint John’s University with nine to twelve months of volunteer service at a Benedictine monastery while he participates in the monastic life of that community, supporting the life and the apostolic work of the host monastery.

The role of the Resident Assistant is to be the coordinator or manager of the floor and serves as the main authority on the floor with the Faculty Resident. RA's are accountable for the development of the floor community through the development, implementation, and support of community events and programs. The Resident Assistants work with the Faculty Resident of the community to follow-up on behavioral actions that violate University policies and delineate, if the situation warrants it, any appropriate sanctions.
