i was employed as a Carpenter/Laborer. My job duties had included operating hand other types of power tools, adding form board to exterior walls, measuring and cutting and lifting nailing them on applying form to seal crevices and carrying 8’x4’ 1/4in exterior plywood, hanging up plywood on the exterior walls, setting up scaffolding screwing plywood to frame. measuring and cutting plywood to finish exterior walls. Installing splash guards. finish job duties, added corner wall trim. maintaining carpentry shop equipment, hauling demo material , unloading and storing materials, maintaining a clean and safe job site, keeping the work area supplied with material and clear of construction debris, assisting other carpenter workers to complete a wide variety of tasks. Including installing windows and doors, roofing, insulating, Vapor barrier, and hanging drywall, screwing, applying joint compound, taping, walls, ceilings, and corners of walls, and walls and ceilings.

My job responsibilities as a Tender and Diver included driving the Bering Sea gold dredge to the agreed upon location, helping anchor the bow and stern, refilling and operating the water pump, lowering the foot valve, assisting diver with donning wet suit and mask, keeping watch on diver, and turning off. Offload catch, cleaned the deck head back out to sea.Halibut fishing: Set the drum on deck, bolted it down, getting the long line gear from storage and bringing down to boat. Assisted crane operator with bait onto boat, arranging bait on deck to thaw, chopped up bait and placing them in salt water brine before heading out to sea. Along with ice filled insulated boxes. While heading out to the fishing grounds I baited the hooks, including folding snap gear and arranging in totes or buckets. Upon reaching fishing grounds, I tied buoy to the end line. let line out depending on depth, tied anchor on line and toss anchor overboard, when it touches sea bottom, I snap on baited hooks throughout the string tied anchor on, then buoy. In the morning, afternoon, and evenings. Throw the hook and line pull in and untie buoy and anchor and attach to drum, while reeling in the string, I unsnap the baited hooks handing to other deckhand vise visa placing baited hooks in totes and buckets. Gaffing halibut moving catch and snapping to on line on the gunwale, gilling and gutting cleaning catch and placing catch on ice. Rebait hooks and set string again. Offload catch and clean boat.
