Lead a team of 9 highly skilled individuals who interact with stakeholders internal and external to provide information about products, services, quotes, complaint resolution, and process development. Plan, direct, and coordinate ongoing departmental improvements in order to provide seamless high-level service to customer base.

Managed Shipping Department at Kalamazoo Division of Green Bay Packaging with 15+ reports including 3 direct supervisory reports spanning a 3 shift operation. Duties included resource allocation, warehouse/inventory management, dispatching, receiving, quality management, and safety leadership.

Kalamazoo Division

•Managed monthly safety training for 6 person work crew, including safety and disciplinary documentation and tracking. •Assumed Shipping Manager responsibilities when Shipping Manager was absent.•Coordinated with Shipping Manger and other operational groups, internal and external customers, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipments, load out and plan truck logistics for delivery and other related activities based on priority.•Assisted in identification and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations.

•Led daily operations of the shipping & receiving teams to ensure the highest utilization and most efficient use of staff, equipment, and other resources.•Managed warehouse inventory by ensuring that all required documentation and computer entries were completed per company policies and in real-time accordance with shipping and receiving activities.•Implement edand further develop company re-trip program. Program oversaw process for recycling used corrugated boxes between vendor, customer, and supplier.

•Supervised 6 man work crew, oversaw operations of shift and responded as needed to concerns.•Logged maintenance request forms for machine repairs.•Provided customer service by controlling production and quality for an average of 215,000 lineal feet of corrugated board per shift.•Communicated proper techniques and ensured compliance to all safety regulations.
