  In my current role, I advise clients on health care policy, legislative strategy, and distilling complex issues into easily understood problems and solutions. My understanding of the legislative process enables me to support clients facing a myriad of challenges, and advising them on when and how to activate resources to address problems or threats to their organizations and achieve success. My research and writing skills are a tremendous asset for clients when developing advocacy materials, in addition to drafting policy memos, public comments, talking points, or testimony. I worked with a client who testified twice on Capitol Hill regarding the vital role of foreign health care workers in the US health care system. I also help clients prepare or convert comments from key federal rulemaking, such as the Physician Fee Schedule, into dynamic advocacy campaigns. I have also led and supported fly-in events for clients, which includes a full suite of services from reserving hotel and meeting space, scheduling 60-100 meetings, securing speakers, ensuring members know how to navigate Capitol Hill (and a Capitol Hill meeting), and preparing the appropriate materials to guarantee a successful and effective fly-in. The opportunity to show people the importance of their own advocacy is a highlight of this work.I enjoy the variety of issues and stakeholders I work with and the challenges I get to help clients navigate and address with minimal disruption.
