Provided a safe environment for middle and high school aged youth on Fort Carson.Facilitated a youth-led book club, discussing which books the youth wanted to read and, pending permission, purchasing the books with department funds.Served as kitchen manager, purchasing product through US Foods, following guidelines set by the department's nutritionist, and maintaining the purchasing schedule.I created and ran a variety of programs for the youth attending our program, including but not limited to:-Intro to 3D Design and Printing - Provided guided instruction of 3D design through free browser-based programs such as TinkerCad, and how to export 3D images to a 3D Printer, and troubleshoot the 3D printer. -Mindful meditation,-E-Sports club - provided sport-averse youth with a space to gain the same benefits of their athletic peers. Focus on using the youth's preferred activity; in this case video games; to instill the values of sportsmanship, healthy competition, the benefits of discipline and practice, teamwork, and support. -Open Jam hour- welcome youth musicians to learn how to practice, record, and mix their own music. -Kids in the Kitchen- provided youth with recipes and cooking techniques, with the goal of youth carrying out as much of the cooking as possible -Shooting Sports (Archery and Air Rifle)- Based on 4H shooting sports program-Passport to Manhood - Program developed by the Boys and Girls Club, with the goal to reinforce character, leadership and positive behavior in boys aged 8-14.

Planned expeditions and led groups on weeklong backpacking trips in a remote part of New Mexico. Solely responsible for health and safety of 6-12 people and educating them on proper camping techniques for the area. This included building snow shelters and kitchens in the winter months. Aided in special seasonal programs including fly-fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and alpine skiing. Also assisted in New Mexico Search and Rescue when additional resources were requested.

Part of a management team responsible for over 300 staff. Directly responsible for the training, evaluation, and success of 8-10 Rangers each season. Taught Rangers of all levels to teach youth and adult participants the skills to succeed in a backcountry environment, while interpreting the social and natural history of the area. Served as field expert on medical response teams, and field leader on Search and Rescue Operations.
