Lead the Wharton Global Youth Program which mobilizes the extensive opportunities of the Wharton academic community to educate, inform and inspire pre-collegiate students to explore business practices, analyze the world’s complex challenges, and take the needed steps to become leaders who will transform the global economy.

Engage faculty and the school community in creating learning opportunities for new audiences. Oversee the development of online programs in both degree and non-credit areas. Train faculty and other instructional staff in online pedagogies. Lead the development of customized education programs for organization and corporations. Identify and supervise outside market research firm to identify best practices from across the academic marketplace. Work directly with the Dean on priority and outreach initiatives.

Administer all non-degree programs in the College of Liberal and Professional Studies of the School of Arts and Sciences, programs include: post-baccalaureate programs, undergraduate summer sessions, international guest student program, senior citizen programming, and high school dual-enrollment programs. Supervise program directors and managers for each program, including setting enrollment targets and coordinating curriculum with members of the standing faculty. Serve as director and academic advisor for summer residential and academic year high school programs. Develop annual marketing strategy for summer programming. Launched new Penn Summer website and programming for undergraduates, as well as the Penn Summer Global Institute a short-term study abroad package for visiting international students. Serve on the LPS Admissions Committee, Program Committee, and Senior Staff.

Lead the Center’s projects in education and curriculum development, at the national, state, and local levels. Author museum educational philosophy and new national civic education framework; adopted by Center Board of Trustees. Manage workshops, seminars, and experiences for the promotion of civic and history education. Serve as lead academic liaison between the museum and the Center’s partnership school with the School District of Philadelphia. Oversee the management of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Representative Democracy (PennCORD) promoting civic education in all Pennsylvania schools. Manage education team annual budget and personnel. Manage education team budget, and oversee staff. Develop local, state, and national educational partnerships. Lead marketing and promotions of educational products and initiative, and work directly with development staff to identify local and national funders for education projects.

Justice LearningEdited all new content for JusticeLearning.org, a web-based civic education resource of NPR’s Justice Talking and the New York Times. Developed unique lessons for use with the site by teachers from the middle school to university level. Provided training for educators nationally on the application of the project in classrooms and school districts.Student VoicesFacilitated Student Voices curriculum training in nine cities and throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Lead a working group of teachers in rewriting the Student Voices “Community Curriculum” and provided ongoing leadership on curricular issues. Counseled national project team on the integration of the Student Voices curriculum with existing school curriculum
