Eli Mordechai, Ph.D. is one of the world’s foremost experts, innovators, and advocates in the field and study of infectious disease in women’s gynecological health. He is the founder and CEO of the privately-held Genesis Biotechnology Group, a conglomerate of medical diagnostic, life science, and biotechnology companies headquartered in Hamilton, New Jersey. As Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mordechai focuses on leveraging the discoveries of GBG’s own world-class scientific research and development teams for the creation of innovative products and services in the areas of clinical diagnostics, genetic biotechnology and biopharmaceutical drug development. The companies under the GBG banner include full service, CAP-accredited laboratories, clinical research organizations and institutes, manufacturing and distribution, and automation technology contracting. In 1997, Dr. Mordechai started his flagship company Medical Diagnostics Laboratory with a vision of implementing cutting edge methods in molecular biology technology to revolutionize diagnostic testing capabilities in women’s health. He launched MDL with a staff of three in a 1,200 square-foot office. Today, from its 60,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in Hamilton, MDL serves patients, physicians, and hospital systems in all 50 states. He created Genesis Investment Properties to provide revenue streams for GBG’s research platforms. Since its inception in 2010, GIP has expanded to include 100 commercial real estate properties in 28 states. Genesis Hospitality Group, a hospitality ownership and management organization also established by Dr. Mordechai, includes such iconic landmarks as the Washington Crossing Inn, The Yardley Inn and The Peacock Inn.His scientific research is documented in over 100 peer-reviewed publications and 25 patents. Dr. Mordechai received his B.S. from Rider University and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Temple University. He completed his post-doctoral studies at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.
