Field Supervisor
Current- Responsible for development and implementation of chainsaw and general technical training curriculum for AmeriCorps members- Oversees and manages daily and critical equipment maintenance to ensure smooth project operations- Provides general site and safety support to Team Leads, including oversight of the Team Lead technical skills and leadership training curriculum- Have led and trained over 150 national service members at AmeriCorps St. Louis, in addition to more than 50 national service members from National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) - Developed trainings on felling operations, bucking operations, complex storm debris removal, general chainsaw mechanics and carburetor adjustment, hand tool maintenance and use, general trail building from concept to implementation, backwoods project support and execution- Performs complex small engines repair and maintenance and minor vehicle maintenance- Host training days for environmental stewardship partnering agencies on small engine equipment mechanics and complex in-depth maintenance, spanning from full engine rebuild to proper habits for use and general maintenance- Serves on AmeriCorps St. Louis Recruitment Committee, conducting interviews and reviewing applicants to promote a diverse and team-oriented national service environment
