One of a team of four leading a the first national gastronomic tourism program for the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture and the Agrarian Innovation Foundation. Working closely with farmers, restaurants, government authorities and program managers to design and launch the program.

Activa Secano is a program jointly funded by the European Union and The Overcoming Poverty Foundation with the goal of reactivating the economy in the Secano biocultural region of Chile through the execution of purchases and activities costing over $126,000,000 CLP in 18 townships spanning eight regions of Chile. As an advisor to this program, it is my job to supervise the implementation of these funds by the teams in each township and region in order to make sure they are being used in the most effective way possible, build consensus on which activities and purchases should be funded, and then facilitate those purchases. I help build relationships and trust with the beneficiaries of the program by traveling frequently to the different places where we work. I am known within the foundation as someone who forms strong connections with the communities we support and who works hard to get them what they need, as well as with the different teams working within the foundation in these eight regions of Chile. This job requires a wide range of skills, including technical agricultural knowledge and the real-world, accessible application of modern farming technologies, business and entrepreneurship experience and savvy, soft skills and interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the accurate prediction of budgets and timelines through Gantt charts, logical frameworks, and data management.
