Graduate Teaching Assistant for Digital Architecture 1 within the College of Architecture, Planning, & Design. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the DA 1 course at Kansas State University, I assist the lead instructor in teaching foundational concepts of digital design and architectural representation. My responsibilities include helping students develop proficiency in digital modeling software such as Rhino and the Adobe Suites, providing technical guidance during studio sessions, and offering feedback on design projects. I also assist in grading assignments, facilitate discussions on digital fabrication and design methodologies, and support students in understanding how digital tools can enhance architectural workflows. My role ensures that students gain essential skills for integrating technology into their architectural practice.

The creation of the Digital Information & Media Team (DIM Team) has been pivotal in the growth and outreach of the College of Architecture, Planning & Design at Kansas State University. This team of students dedicated to the College of Architecture, Planning & Design social media accounts and graphic design of flyers and announcements is upholding the standards of Kansas State University and the College of Architecture, Planning & Design. The Digital Information & Media Team shall work with the Office of the Dean, department offices, and all other student organizations within the College of Architecture, Planning & Design.Through the start of this team, bylaw and constitution documents were made to outline the goals of the team as well as the creation of the team positions and their definitions. The DIM Team board is made up of the President, Vice President, Content Management Chair, Videography and Photography Chair, and Student Outreach Chair. These positions aid the organization of the ever changing and moving parts when creating social media posts, flyers, and outreach documents for the college. In full stride the DIM Team has representatives at every event within the college and is there to photograph and video the event for social media. The DIM Team is ever evolving and growing as the needs of the college grow and become more professional and sought after across the country.I have had the pleasure to work with so many amazing faculty, staff, and students on the creation of this team and we are ever more excited for where the team will be in the next few years as it quickly settles in and becomes a significant piece of the college.

I also support them in understanding the iterative design process, encouraging experimentation with concepts, materials, and drawing techniques. As part of the Preconstruction team at Centric in Kansas City, MO I worked with hundreds of subcontractors to build competitive bids and negotiation bids to find new projects across the Kansas City Metropolitan area as well as around the country in Atlanta, GA. I also had the opportunity to visit many active and potential job sites to see how construction sites operated and how the bid process for general contractors and subcontractors operated. I also had the opportunity to see the communication between architects, engineers, and general contractors on negotiation bid sites and active construction sites, this was important to my summer internship experience as I saw the general contractor side of scoping architectural drawings, which will allow me to grow as an architect.
