Big ideas are a dime a dozen. It's only when they are translated into reality and reach the people they are intended to help, that they actually start to change lives and transform this world.In 1991 I started building my career from the young age of 14, repairing IT equipment (mainly computers) and selling them for a profit. My first formal job was in 1994 where I worked for a year before starting the very first “mobile computer repair company” in New Zealand. At age 17, a year after starting my first company (EliTe Computech) and building up a significant local presence, I made an offer to my previous employer and purchased the company I used to work for (Second Byte).I made further acquisitions by later purchasing (Metro Computer Systems). As my company grew, it became well known that I was a successful entrepreneur with innovative ideas.In 1997 I was approached by a receiver appointed to overlook the collapse of one of the largest computer companies (AB Computers) in the capital city of NZ. I acquired my third company at the age of 18 years. The company was eventually sold and I moved to Australia where larger opportunities existed.Since 2003, TraiTel Telecom has been growing and innovating technologies that are now common place. TraiTel was the first internet based telecom company to offer VoIP, eFax and SMS in one platform.In 2014 I migrated to the USA where I intended to replicate the Telecommunications company from Australia and offer the same services to Nth Americans. Pursuing this avenue however, turned out to be harder than initially thought due to high levels of regulation pertaining to B2C text messaging.In 2016 however, I came up with the idea of creating a device that would simplify home and business automation and had to be extremely easy to operate as opposed to most other tech that was difficult to set up or expensive or both. The resulting device which I invented and fully designed from being just an idea to the end functional product is called a SiB, which stands for Smart internet Button.The SiB is not just a button, but a central hub that allows anything to be designed quickly and at low cost to address practically any requirement that an individual or business has - this is why my team and I, call it the Swiss Army Knife of IoT.The SiB has patents in more than 70 countries.I've become a leader in my profession, an expert in IT and a dedicated plus motivated entrepreneur. In my spare time, I spend time with family, fly planes and teach martial arts.
