I'm a quick learner and passionate software developer with a background in music teaching. I'm seeking a programming environment to apply problem-solving and communication skills in Chicago.I began my teaching career working in 5 K-8 private schools, where I directed a band at each school, but I discovered it wasn't the industry in which I wanted to work full-time. I am currently branching into a new area by brushing up on some old coding skills I learned in high school. I will move to Chicago after graduating and look to start working as a developer in June.I am passionate about EdTech, Music Tech, and providing opportunities to underprivileged communities! Personal and class projects: WordleBot: I created a program that automatically solves the NYT's famous puzzle using C#. Score Simplifier: Currently working on a project in Python with two other collaborators to simplify notated music by interpreting XML files.TEnmo: I worked on a group project integrating SQL and ASP.NET MVC framework to create a money transfer and request system.Vending Machine App: It's a simple, introductory object-oriented vending machine. It also uses File I/O and Microsoft's System Speech (TTS) library.
