Kick off of the initial phase. • Brought in to bring back on track a project established to ensure the effective relocation of Nestle Purina’s technical function – a truly sensitive project. Re-scoped, defined plans, managed key risks, issues and actions with senior management for several streams of work, supporting communication between the teams moving and senior managers, ensuring the function was up and running on time.• Leadership role in the functional design for Nestle Purina’s European End to End Project Management Team.

Bringing project and change management capability to an established team with responsibility for a companywide organisational re-design project designed to enable Purina to achieve its strategic objectives - impacting in excess of 250 people.As well as influencing the change management needs, planning the transition and reporting regularly to the board, I led the implementation phase across the European business.Achievements• Program managed the implementation of Nestle Purina’s biggest program of change ever embarked upon. Enabling 120 plus new ways of working to be rolled out across 32 markets in, Marketing, MDO and Technical functions - including support for the setup of 3 new teams - Innovation, European Consumer Communication and End to End Project Management.• Facilitated the definition of the scope of work for the Top 10 initiatives resulting from the Regional Business Strategy. Working with senior managers to define what needed to be achieved within the business to realise the strategic ambitions of Nestle Purina Europe.

Stepping in to run several concurrent projects, including gaming integration for Top Gear, an RFP process for a companywide on-line payments solution, implementation of a suite of HR systems and cover for the head of project management for Strategy, Digital, Marketing and Global Brands.

I successfully led the complex programme of IT development for a project aiming to provide a single platform for BBC, ITV & Channel 4 content that was halted by the competition commission. Achievements • Delivery of an £8m programme with a team of 30 people on time and in budget to fulfil BBC Worldwides data and content requirements for a joint venture with ITV and Channel4 – which was halted by the competition commission.Despite aggressive timescales and conflicting priorities and starting to use Scrum techniques• I defined and organised the programme of work with the Chief Technical Architect to ensure the requirements placed on BBC Worldwide by the Joint Venture could be met. • Resourced and initiated 3 project streams, each requiring new ways of working and management within a matrix environment- Content and data delivery matrix platform: .NET - Middleware installation: MS Biztalk (a global solution for BBC Worldwide)- Financial processing and payaway: SAP• Integrated programme delivery plans with third party launch plans, feeding back on test strategies and quality assurance requirements.• Invaluable budgetary control, planning capability and creative risk management.

Promoted to Senior Project Manager, taking responsibility for the pipeline of projects within the project office, resourcing, prioritisation and shaping initial requirements with senior stakeholders, to define project deliverables. • Leading interactions with senior management ensuring strategic alignment of projects.• Managed a team of 8 project managers, each with a minimum of 3 projects.• Established and maintained the Project Manager community whilst actively facilitating the continuous improvement of the project manager’s tool set.• Recruited new Project Managers and additional Senior Project Managers to the team.Achievements • Established the role of Senior Project Manager with the Project Office at BBC Worldwide, leading the transformation of working relationships across 3 IT delivery teams.

Within the Project Office at BBC Worldwide, I was responsible for managing multiple concurrent IT developments, through the complete project life cycle. Achievements• Delivery of a contract management system to support the growth of a complex business entity, involving me leading extensive workshops to model and structure the business.• Ongoing development of the On-Line Catalogue and its screening service, intrinsic to BBC Worldwide’s selling process• A complete redesign of the BBC Prime website incorporating new functionality• Development of a site enabling Independent Producers to deliver post production material/assets.• Key member of the working group ensuring continuous improvement of the project manager’s tool set.

I started with Ford as a Systems Analyst, after a month on a project and an introduction to the Accelerated Software Development Centres (ASC) project management methodology, my role was transferred to Project Manager. The ASC was a partnership established with IBM. Delivered various projects utilising technologies including .NET, C#, SQL, Java Script, HTML, XML, Lead projects through business case development, analysis, design and into maintenance – on time and within budget including, Europe wide projects encompassing various countries and languages.Highly regarded by the combined IBM and Ford Management Team, I was brought in on troubled projects to ensure delivery and managed concurrent developments for different business areas and brands. Third party management was key in terms of development and testing resource provision, as well as design work. All projects were managed according to the structured methodology in which I trained others and actively enhanced where appropriate. On promotion within Fords Management Structure, I participated in the Career Management Committee supporting the recognition of a technical career path within Ford.Key Projects delivered include;Web based vehicle purchasing system critical to Ford's Fleet customers (.NET, C#, SQL server, Java Script).Web based Dealer Front End to the Marketing Programme System in 13 markets (.NET, C#, Oracle, SQL, Java script, html, xml).Web based On-Line event management system for Global Purchasing (Oracle, SQL, Pearl, Java script).A Web based car configurator in 7 markets and 8 languages, with key deliverables for various Motor Shows.

As member of the Harlow Group Senior Management and Special Projects Team I was involved in business realignment to ensure the business was maintained, requiring change management skills. The experience I brought to the team centred upon business process re-engineering, the capability to effectively integrate IT into the business to further augment business processes, information audits and support in recruitment.
