Assisted SCFB management personal, Lead Development Programmer Analysts, and Quality Assistant staff members with the implementation of a dynamic coding solution for merging future acquisitions of new assets through the use of a modifiable table. Access the test environment and utilizing various software tools to on a number of server platforms to edit all affected source codes, edit, compile and stage a workload group for the QA team. As a result, all static hard coded company names are now better maintained from the centralized control point at the table level. This cost effective solution aids SCFB’s future cost for changing the embedded hard coded company names. The coding languages of Micro Focus COBOL, Micro Focus Net Express, COBOL II, SQL, and JCL are presently being used to execute and test CICS online and Batch job streams that encompasses data capture to daily batch processing through monthly end of the month processing including special order processing on data stored in a DB2 database and VSAM data sets. Software products used on site are SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Visual Studios Team System 2008 with Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Premium with Team Foundation Server, SharePoint, and Vista TN3270 Terminal Emulator.

Developed methods and established an atmosphere where scheduled deadlines were maintained while documenting code reviews, quality assurance audits, and joint meetings with third-party contractors and the state representatives. Reported directly to the state’s technical manager for the Department of Social Services CFS Project. Aided in the automation of the state’s present Child Support System and implementing the new Federal mandated Child Support Enforcement System and Family Court Case Management System. Assisted in the promotion of code uniformity, cohesion and clarity with an emphasis on working as one team to produce a reliable product on time and with quality. Participated in internal surveys, created dynamic reporting document for tracking and tracing the progress of critical benchmarked items (scheduled deliverables) to completion. Participated in scheduled meetings with the third-party vendor and the state management teams that included standardized code reviews to address and document and identified discrepancies. The Objective of these sessions was to ensure that state mandates for all deliverables were being adhered to.

Primary responsibilities were to keep current the mailing application software along with the four databases for the Pitney Bowes/Group 1 applications. Provide timely directions and support for the user groups and third party software vendors. Also provided support for Staff Development & Training to include designing, testing, debugging applications for implementation of support applications to improve new and old information systems as well as maintaining the integrity of historical DB2 database information system. Other additional duties included being accessible available around the clock on call for additional support.
