I co-anchored Good Morning Iowa from 5-7 a.m. and produced special segments/projects each week focusing on issues that impact central Iowans. I also provided coaching for our multimedia journalists, going into the field with them on day turn stories to teach them proven storytelling techniques through shooting compelling video, creative writing and advanced editing techniques.

I solo-anchored the 11pm newscast and reported for the 4,5 & 6 p.m. newscasts Monday-Friday. I handled special projects involving character driven stories, bringing awareness to issues within the local community. I also served as a night-side manager, reviewing content produced by reporters before and after broadcast.According to KRNV General Sales Manager Mark Murakami, News 4 at 11 was the only newscast to grow each ratings period from Feb '13 to Feb '14. During that time, the 11 p.m. newscast also went from last place to first in the key demo according to Nielsen and Rentrak data.2013 and 2014 Investigations into the Reno VA uncovered errors made while processing a veteran's rebuttal claim for disability as he battled a brain tumor as well as an unreported stabbing between two patients that occurred resulting in congressional action and inquires from Senators Harry Reid and Dean Heller.

Recruited to act as primary liaison between Sheriff’s office members, public, and key media figures across the local community and the nation. Authored press releases updating the public on law enforcement incidents. Ensured open lines of communication 24/7 replying to emergency inquiries in a timely manner guaranteeing public and media figures were aware of large-scale events. Arranged press briefings for the Sheriff. Supervised media activity of 200 sworn deputies continually requesting deputies to prepare and send case reports. Rapidly passed recent performance review gaining extensive recognition from the Sheriff’s Office.Increased Facebook page’s daily audience reach from 70 to over 350K users within five months by shifting focus away from recent negative events and back on message.
