• Designed and developed cast aluminum knuckle assemblies for automotive OEM NPI vehicle programs using FEA, life analysis, and a synchronized design validation and release process with the customer engineer and Teamcenter product life cycle management software.• Analyzed design specification targets, coordinated FEA and design requirements, and created initial 3D and FEA models to kick off the design iteration process against targets. • Computed stress concentrations in HyperView and life cycle repeats in nCode13 and optimized the design mass to meet the specified life cycle and part mass targets. Led customer design change requests and released parts against the required release dates, including running and cut-off design change types.• Led the development of prototype and production level parts, and received customer approvals for DVP&R(s).• Established GD&T assembly requirements for pressed in bushings and cross-axis ball joints using a standardized minimum and maximum interference condition scenario validation in order to meet the multi-link minimum required press-out force for each component bore.• Completed design issuance requirements; Design checklist, DFMEA, 2D/3D release, production tool kick off forms, change notices as required by the internal program manager, and customer milestones. • Attended on-site production demonstration runs, tooling and manufacturing solutions reviews in cross-functional team setup, Technical Cost Reduction or VAVE reviews, engineering support for quality and lab testing root cause analysis, OEM on-site reviews of post durability vehicles to confirm parts are delivering the required performance. • Led internal and external design meetings using NX CAD and technical presentations proving the design meets the design targets and packages in the end vehicle platform.

• Designed and released two HVAC assemblies for two new product introduction vehicles using NX, and flow analysis.• Analyzed design specifications for packaging, cooling and heating loads, venting, and airflow noise requirements.• Established the initial 3D design in NX, analyzed simulations for air volume, velocity, turbulence, and heat distribution, and applied design countermeasures to adjust the performance to the required specification targets. • Led the design validation phase of the program, and generated reports adhering to the DVP&R requirements.• Drafted and released 2D prints of the final components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and service kits. • Led a team of four engineers and generated $400K in technical cost reduction ideas by optimizing the materials, mass, and supplier options.
