Creates Cool is a versatile design studio based in San Francisco, founded in 2020 by licensed architect and designer Elias Horat. We aim to give our clients the best projects by pairing rigorous conceptual designs with a technology-driven process. We hold ourselves to the philosophy that we do not have one singular style or look; rather, our projects are a product of a collaboration with our clients, sites, and project goals. When a position opened for a larger leadership role on our project I eagerly raised my hand with excitement. At the time multiple designers and leaders on our project decided they were willing to help mentor me into this position. I vowed to make up in efficiency and communication what I may have lacked in experience. Now settled into this position I could not be happier to be a Job Captain on the firm's largest project, Uber's Mission Bay 3 & 4.

Joining Huntsman Architectural Group full time after finishing my Masters in Architecture I was thrilled to be a part of this thriving design community. I began working on multiple projects including technology campuses, corporate headquarters and healthcare projects

Working as a Project Manager I helped with coordination on and off of our job sites. I worked on the development of one project from Schematic Design, Design Development, Bidding Documents all the way to Construction Drawings. I worked to coordinate multiple permit sets which were successfully issued and approved. During construction I facilitated Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings, as well as site visits and approval of shop drawings. I coordinated consultant meetings and was able to work closely with our architect and client throughout the building process.

As a Junior Architect I worked closely with the head architect, Thomas Bitnar, FAIA on a variety of ground up projects including: apartments, restaurant, retail center, new offices, and a townhouse complex. Using Revit, Autocad, Sketchup and Photoshop I created client presentations and construction documents.I also worked closely with clients to develop drawings from conception through development. By learning and excelling in this role I was able to take on more responsibility on larger incoming projects.

Based out of downtown San Francisco, Mock Wallace Architects was founded by Lawrence Mock and Ronald S. Wallace with a conscious effort in bringing stylish affordable architecture and design. During this eight months of working in the city, I had the opportunity to gain exposure and knowledge of the entire architectural process. With the supervision of our principal I worked on multiple projects ranging in size from a bathroom remodel to three story commercial building. I Conducted initial client meetings based off of initial research on Sites and Regulations, worked with San Francisco Planning to review plans, worked closely with IBC and San Francisco Building Codes. I used Autocad, Sketchup, Illustrator and Photoshop to create Presentations and Construction Documents for Clients, Contractors and City Planning.

Getaway is a startup and is the first company to provide a way for customers to escape urban environments and find balance through hiking and camping. Getaway is helping build the Tiny House Movement through its tiny mobile cabins.I used Revit to create detail drawings of mobile cabins including: Plumbing and Electrical, Framing and Structural, Wall and Finishes Detail. I then conducted code analysis using International Residential Code and International Building Code to ensure that houses were accessible and safe

Working with the Renne Library research team at MSU I filtered mass amounts of Twitter data used in Sentiment Analysis as part of a fully grant-funded research project. I used Sentiment Analysis to gather, format and filter Twitter data.

Freedom by Design utilizes the talents of architecture students to enhance the quality of life of low-income and disabled individuals. Students design solutions to address the everyday needs of those who are in need.I successfully led a team that designed and created construction documents of ramp for a disabled veteran in Bozeman. I presented MSU to the national conference in Washington, D.C. as part of the chapter consideration process. MSU chapter was ultimately granted the official chapter. I organized and carried out workdays for 15 students from all over campus to serve the community by creating construction drawings, site excavation and client well being.

As a Construction Intern I was introduced to the construction site and building process. Beck Builders had me work on several different jobs which gave me experience in almost every area of buildings and construction.
