I always played music, first the piano and later on guitar and bass. After spending years in garage bands and practicing a whole lot, the proper paying gigs started to arrive in my late teens. At the inhouse agency of one of the world's most significant producers of smoke-free tobacco products, I got to work with local and international strategies, concepts and campaigns for brands that the consumers have exceptionally strong emotional connections with. Tough legislation made the job challenging, but no less fun. Exceptionally talented colleagues and a strong corporate culture helped putting a smile on my face every day on my way to work. Such a great team.

As a freelance advertising creative and strategist, you ideally have the luxury of leading a very rich and varying professional life. In my case, I had the absolute pleasure to work with a multitude of interesting projects and clients, among them M&M’s, G4S Home alarm systems, Electrolux, Lantmännen, Tropicana and many more.

At RBK I had the fortune to work with both colleagues and clients that I respect a whole lot. I wrote and created campaigns for Swedish online bookstore Bokus, Kista Galleria and Point Transaction Systems, among others. My team won an award for radio ad of the year with a piece for national chain of pawnbrokers Pantbanken Sverige – apart from writing it, I also played upright bass on it!

This was the brainchild of two creatives starting our own small agency, trying to take on all the projects that fitted our size and imagination. This could range between a campaign where we had all the billboards of Stockholm Central Station for Piratförlaget, to integrated campaigns, including guerrilla and web, for children’s books. Selected clients: Bonnier Carlsen, Get Updated, Piratförlaget, Stockholms Möbelmässa.

On a hiatus from advertising, but not from marketing. ICC was born out of the simple idea that we could help small industries save lots of money on their energy bills with our auditing system. The clients were charged on the basis of how much money we helped them save. The company had 15 employees in its biggest incarnation. Apart from marketing the tool and building the brand, I also learned many valuable things about being an entrepreneur in a very expansive field.

In the wild years of the dotcom economy, pioneer agency Klan was probably the first to truly incorporate the digital DNA with advertising. We made both traditional and digital campaigns, fully integrated and also what most likely was the world’s first mobile marketing campaign. Brand workshops and creating platforms based on those became an integral part of my role at Klan, and I have loved it ever since. Selected clients: Svenska Spel, Casino Cosmopol, Goyada, Passagen, Topjobs, Gallerian.

Fascinating times, learning the ropes at a network agency. Among other things, I wrote and created a pan-Nordic campaign for Canal+, including five different TV-spots, billboards and print ads. Very educating. Selected clients: Canal+, Peugeot, Coop, Beckers, Philips.

This was an agency where I got to work with extremely talented colleagues. I had an absolute blast writing radio campaigns, print-ads and brochures. Selected clients: Radio Rix, Flygtaxi, Metropolis Gym.
