TED is a global nonprofit organization devoted to helping people better understand the world through “Ideas Worth Spreading”. The first TED conference debuted in 1984 where people from the Technology, Entertainment and Design industries converged to share their ideas. Today the TED scope has expanded across all disciplines and acts as a platform to showcase individuals’ ideas through short, powerful talks presented in 18 minutes or less.TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission with a goal to give communities, organizations, and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue and create change through TED experiences at the local level. TEDx events are created and organized by TED enthusiasts within their own communities and are designed to present ideas that are of specific interest to that community, in our case, San Luis Obispo. TEDx features a combination of live presenters and official TEDTalks aimed at sparking intellectual conversation and discussion, while uniting community members behind common ideals. The TEDxSanLuisObispo team is a group of passionate young leaders dedicated to the pursuit of learning, development, and positive change in their community. We are excited to bring the TEDx experience to San Luis Obispo and share the unique ideas and insight of SLO citizens with TED. With a strong platform for individuals to share their visions, we can create a one of a kind experience with a huge impact. Our annual conference unites the local community and Cal Poly students together, presenting topics that educate and inspire citizens to become catalysts for improvement and change.

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a non-profit company under Cal Poly Corporations that fosters innovation in the San Luis Obispo Community and California Polytechnic State University. My role at CIE is centered around marketing and outreach. I design marketing strategies and lead execution on all related campaigns and event endeavors. My duties include public speaking to large groups, crafting and executing marketing plans, event planning, and forum design. During the year, I work closely with CIE team members to design and put on a forum series focused on topics of innovation and networking.

When bringing TEDx to the Cal Poly Community, I lead all production and planning for the day of the event. I oversee all of the roles happening related to content production, stage management, technology, video and more.

Clock'd is an app and web platform pair which increases efficiency in any workplace which employs workers by the hour. Traditional clock in systems are expensive, cheatable, and inefficient. Clock'd uses Bluetooth and iBeacon technology to check workers in and out automatically, with more accuracy than any other system. We also reduce liability for employers by alerting employees of their breaks and tracking overtime pay. We are currently working on including big data analysis for workplace efficiency as part of our service.

Focused on the sales of premium services, and technology partner ancillary services to current MINDBODY clients. Prime responsibility included establishing, nurturing and growing the sales pipeline to increase Average Revenue per Subscriber (ARPS). This mainly consisted of calling and emailing MINDBODY clients to schedule product demonstrations.

A DJ Entertainment Company that performed on a regular basis throughout the Bay Area. A team of four high school students that were able to make any party a night to remember. We provided music, lights, and much more. After five successful years we decided to sell the company.

Responsible for planning, organizing, and hosting events within specific times and budgets. Coordinated all day activities for large groups of people. Managed teams of workers to maximize productivity and efficiency.
