As a part of the executive leadership he is charged with clinical engineering (CE) technology planning, medical equipment recovery, and CE service delivery to all clients. He will design, plan and lead the program for Mass Technologies which in turn is responsible for clients’ clinical technology acquisition process. Responsibilities include oversight and support of clinical technology planning, assessment, standardization and optimization. He will also direct all aspects of CE and medical equipment asset planning and management; provide professional life-cycle planning services for utilization assessments, programming, acquisition, installation, maintenance and replacement of major medical technology systems and components. He will direct and develop medical technology master plans and specific technology budget programs, feasibility studies, and project cost/schedule estimates. He will design a program for LifeLine Clinical Engineering Solutions to plan, direct and specify clinical technology for successful clinical, CE/IT, etc., integration. This includes analyses of clinical workflow and clinical care models to design, propose and implement technology alternatives which maximize patient outcomes/productivity while minimizing cost and organizational impact. Design, develop and lead a program for Mass Technologies that is marketable to its clients in program planning and execution for medical equipment replacement and new technology adoption and integration. Lead planning, selection and adoption of new technology in a medical environment. Lead, create, advise and direct clinical technology planning budgets, projections, planning, assessment, evaluation, formulation, execution, management and in essence from Cradle to Grave (C2G).

Scanning and reporting on emerging clinical technologies and extending this consultancy services to non-Geisinger hospitals and entities.
