I was born and raised in Turkey. I was raised in a family of highly skilled and well-known doctors in Istanbul who strongly impacted my life and career. Both my grandfather and my father are surgeons, who motivated me to pursue my career in medicine. I completed the Acıbadem University School of Medicine and became a medical doctor.I have also been to the US several times for observership programs, such as the Craniofacial Center at Seattle Children’s Hospital, the Neurosurgery Department at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and the Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Pittsburgh University. This was further motivation for me to become a surgeon. I am currently working as a general surgery resident in Sisli Hamidiye Etfal Health and Research Center and continuing my academic career.
