Building data-driven feedback products to help (clients) improve workplace performance. Typically, acting as product-owner on behalf of clients, leading client (or vendor) designers, engineers and PMs toward experiment-focused, MVP-scoped launches... or just building random things that feel personally compelling. A few examples:* Led an in-house team to design/build/launch a performance feedback MVP for a mid-sized field-service firm (i.e. “fitbit for field techs"). Pilot participants improved target performance by 17% (v.s. 0% for baseline group). * Led in-house team to design/prototype a flexile system for collecting, calculating, and displaying messy client metrics (via de-coupled Apache Beam / GCP Dataflow pipelines & config-driven visualizations), toward improved client integration times and data quality.* Led distributed teams to product-ize a successful offline consulting practice, translating a 12-week coaching program into a daily-use product (unlocking sustained behavior change and recurring revenue). Pilot users improved target performance by 85%.* Designed/built/launched Nodd.co service for performance micro-reviews. Recruited 13 pilot teams (~95 reviewers) at 11 different companies to participate in the pilot study. 77% (10/13) of team leaders received candid, meaningful qualitative feedback.* "Haiku News": work in progress, building corpus of news articles and original haikus toward training a deep learning model to generate silly poems about the news.

Led product discovery for various potential product initiatives, aimed at establishing the company in the branded content market. Combined insights from Chartbeat’s unique dataset and interviews with dozens of industry experts (e.g. NYTimes, Vox, CNN, Gawker) to develop directions into product redesigns (native advertising), prototypes (audience analytics), and MVPs (branded content).

Led redesign of Noom’s flagship app and development of the “Path” product direction, toward giving users long-term context and encouragement for consistent weight loss. Established core product principles and a prioritized, long-term roadmap. Mentored user research team toward best-practice research processes and a strengthened role at Noom.

Notch makes health tracking visual. Notch provides a service to consumers at Notch.me and works directly with partners in the health, wellness, & fitness software space, helping them transform self-tracking data into highly engaging data-visualizations.

Negotiated and closed Unblab acquisition in Nov. 2010. Joined AOL as a PM. Collaborated with AOL Mail team to define and prioritize Project Phoenix product roadmap. Led design and engineering team on an experimental email client for iOS, aimed at making email conversational. Led various user research initiatives for the revamped AOL Instant Messenger.
