Hello, My name is Elijah Barrows and I am a Graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with two bachelors degrees in Kinesiology and Public Health. I am interested in looking to pursue a career as a Physician's Assistant, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and/or the Medical Device Industry. Over the past year since my graduation from UMass, I have worked as a Patient Care Technician in the Emergency Department at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Also, I have worked concurrently as an Operating Room Assistant at Baystate Medical Center in the day stay surgical unit. From 2018-2023 I had also worked in the ambulatory post anesthesia care unit at Hospital for special surgery, in NYC.With the experience I have gained this far in my medical career, I look forward to building upon my current levels of understanding about medicine overall and clinical care in the hope of becoming an asset in any field of this industry that I may be introduced. I want to grow personally and professionally into the best possible member of a team, all the while, allowing my team to lean on me in times of need in order to achieve any goal we set out to complete.
