I graduated from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in April 2020, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Co-op), with a major in marketing.The past few years I have seen myself grow immensely professionally and as a person. While attending school, I've always been employed, completed three co-op work terms, I was part of TRU's Modern Marketing Association and made the Dean's list in Winter 2019. Most importantly, through that all I've been able to build relationships, expand my network, and mentor others, all while enjoying myself along the way.Since graduating, I have found work in the film industry. I began working for the Covid department on the TV show Riverdale. At first, I was working on-set to ensure Covid protocols were being followed. The following season, I was offered the Covid Testing Coordinator position. In this position, I was in a leadership role, managing the Covid Testing Team. Communication and attention to detail were vital in this role, as I would communicate with multiple department heads and create adaptable testing schedules for the cast and crew, upwards of 500 employees on a weekly basis. Even when the job could be stressful, that would never stop me from arriving to work with a positive attitude, and ready to have a great day with my team. As the Covid-19 pandemic changed, so would how we approached our everyday tasks, such as scheduling, spreadsheet navigation and ensuring correct tests are being administered. Creating an uplifting work environment helped ensure that as a team, we were there to support, teach and learn from each other as we would maneuver through these changes, all while having fun.As I search for my next job, I hope to work for a company that has an inclusive work culture. For me, this would be a company that values teamwork, inclusivity and strives for employee and company growth. I hope to use skills I've learned and excelled in, such as communication, leadership, and Microsoft Office, to list a few. I'm an adaptable worker who loves learning new skills and enhancing current ones. I have a passion to work with people and look forward to having fun while displaying professionalism in whichever my next endeavour may be.
