I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of British Columbia. My Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at UBC is focused on health equity and advocacy for trans and disabled populations. My academic and professional experience aligns with my passions for equality, community-building and accessibility. I am particularly interested in anti-oppressive and community-based research, disability justice organizing, and 2SLGBTQIA+ healthcare and wellbeing. My strong interpersonal skills and compassion enable me to excel in supporting diverse populations - low-income populations as a Community Organizer with ACORN Ottawa, Indigenous peoples as an Intake Worker with the Squamish Nation Member Support Services department and trans and gender-diverse youth as a Research Collaborator with the University of Ottawa. My ability to stay calm, focused on helping others and to execute sound judgement enables me to adapt to various different scenarios and meet client needs. I have strong written communication skills and am able to target my writing effectively based on the audience. I have experience writing literature reviews, formal research papers, promotional content, newsletter articles, briefing materials, and creative writing, including novels and poetry. My organizational and time management skills enable me to complete tasks thoroughly and within the required timelines.
