I am a current law student exploring my options. Last summer, I was blessed to work under Shemeka Hankins at Invictus Law in Virginia Beach and get a true feel for how criminal defense truly works. I completed projects under Shemeka's supervision and accompanied her to both client meetings and, most notably, court hearings and trials.During my undergrad years at Christopher Newport University, I spent a summer at the Chesapeake District Court Clerk's Office operated by Dr. Alan Krasnoff. There, while not yet in law school, I was able to find an appreciation for the work that court clerks do and become familiar with many different kinds of civil and criminal procedures and documents.Currently, my experience and leaning has been to a litigation position after my time at Regent Law. However, I am most certainly open to all kinds of law and do not want to limit my options at this time.
