During my time as a Resident Assistant at Rutgers Newark, I served as a mentor, supervisor, and program coordinator for the undergraduate and graduate resident hall on campus. I resolved resident conflicts, organized building wide and campus-wide events available for all students, and created a safe and inclusive environment by periodically surveying the building and submitting maintenance requests when repairs were needed. I also offered a free tutoring service in Mathematics and English for all of my residents who may have needed it.

As a Teaching Assistant at the Benard Harris Summer Science Camp at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, I assisted the full-time teaching and administrative staff by leading classroom lessons, grading tests, and giving students one on one assistance with the coursework. I supervised a group of 26 students from sunrise to sunset, during field trips and recreation. When I was promoted to Lead Camp Counselor I supervised a team of Teaching Assistants and served as a bridge between the classroom and the administrative office, while also performing the previously outlined duties.

As a Financial Apprentice for the City of Newark, I was tasked with keeping track of over 1,500 vouchers for the entire city. I created a new and improved system for searching for vouchers that reduced search time by 20 minutes. I also audited new vouchers in the place of a senior office official while they were on administrative leave.
