Provide technical expertise on climate change, environment and natural resource management and grant management support to CDTF programme, community institutions and relevant public-private sector institutions. Key Achievements:Mainstreamed climate change adaption and mitigation approaches in projectsFacilitated capacity building of the partners, project implementation teams and citizens in climate change mitigation and adaption approaches. As a result the community resilience to climate change has been enhanced and engaged in livelihood initiatives that have contributed to household incomes, profitability and job creation for women, men and youth.Formulation and facilitated successfully implementation of DANIDA Fast Start Climate Change programme addressing: (a) Climate change adaption options that cushion communities against climatic shocks. (b) Renewable energy technologies Scaling up of community enterprises through citizen participation for ownership, good governance and sustainability, contributing to local level green growth and job creation.

In charge of Sustainable Natural Resources Management, Drought Contingency Planning, and Drought Early Warning Systems in Cross border Programme of Uganda, Kenya and Southern Sudan for pastoral communities. The programme ensured that pastoral livelihoods and communities resilient to climate change is enhanced. This also mitigated on resource based conflicts.Working on cross border programme in Karamoja Cluster of Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan to support NRM, land use planning, early warning systems, drought preparedness and response to enhance pastoralist’s resilience to drought and other shocks within the region.Give strategic direction and lead implementation of improved community response to drought, Karamoja livestock development project, Livestock for Livelihoods: Strengthening climate change adaptations through improved management at the livestock-wildlife-environment interface (L4L) and regional livestock advocacy programme (REGLAP) in Karamoja/Turkana and Toposa Cluster by building communities capacity, talent, skills and resilience to;Promote environmental management for improved food security and livelihoodsImprove natural resources and livestock management practices at the interface of protected areas in response to increased risks and vulnerability from climate change Improved community resilience to drought, access and response to early warning informationIncreased sustainable access to security in mobility of pastoralist, dry season grazing and waterFacilitate development of reciprocal grazing agreements between communities Facilitate community Contingency plans, inclusion into district contingency plans and facilitatePromote pastoral mobility needs as a climate change adaptation strategyDevelopment of grazing management plans and establishment of grazing committeesTrain and mentor staff in community approaches, project cycle and Right-Based ManagementSpearhead resource mobilization and ensure networking and partnerships are sustained.

Hands on experience in action and scientific research from data collection, analysis and presentation of results, resulting into three research papers to peer review and publications consideration. The finding have informed management of natural resources and learning. Supporting in teaching of undergraduates in the areas of forestry and natural resource management.

My key responsibilities include facilitating child centred development that empowers children realize their full potentials.Offering leadership in programme and project development and management, supporting community and citizen participation and empowerment approaches.Offering technical and strategic support to livelihoods, food security, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programmes.
