I’m Elijah Massenburg, a Columbia University undergraduate studying Computer Science and Economics. I’m passionate about innovation, leadership, and creating meaningful impact. As the founder and president of FinancED, I’ve developed a nonprofit dedicated to promoting financial literacy through engaging initiatives like guest lectures and podcasts. I am currently programming an app to make financial education more accessible.My professional journey has taken me through diverse experiences, including interning with The Shark Group under Daymond John, where I developed financial models and curated marketing strategies. I’ve also worked with Iconic Equities, gaining hands-on experience in real estate financial modeling, valuation analysis, and commercial property acquisitions.At Columbia, I’m actively involved in building communities and fostering growth. As the Partnership Chair for the Columbia Black Pre-Law Society, I focus on connecting students with industry leaders and opportunities, aligning with my goal of pursuing a JD/MBA after graduation. I’m also a proud member of BlackGen and the National Society for Black Engineers, where I continue to grow my technical and professional skills. Additionally, I’m a walk-on athlete for Columbia’s Division-I Lightweight Rowing Team, balancing academics and athletics with time management.I’m also honored to be a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar and a recipient of the Grace and James Dignan Family Scholarship. Outside my academic and professional pursuits, I love R&B, jazz clubs, philosophy, basketball, exercise science, and community service.
