I've always been one to be involved in helping people. Whether that was in my work, my church or my community. Often times, it didn't even require me to do anything but listen. I've learned that this is key to developing a strong relationship with people. This kind of trait carried me from high school, to my first job at Chick Fil A, through my teller job at Wells Fargo, to my job now at State Farm.At State Farm is where I really took off in getting more personal with customers by getting to know what jobs they have, their everyday things that they do, to even wishing them happy birthday! By doing that, I was able to develop strong relationships with them which helped me suggest product for them that best suited their needs. By being able to connect with people and being able to suggest products, this helped me to lead the team in sales and applications submissions every month. I was able to hit my mark and even go above the goal that was set in place.All of this happened just by listening and connecting with people. If you think that there is no benefit to listening and understanding customers, think again because it works!
