Responsible for creating robotic arm assemblies for FANUC robots loading Makino CNC machines with the goal of automating the loading process and increasing throughput time for the customer.Created custom configurations and parts to cater to the needs of each individual customer's application and accommodate the unique loading circumstances of different jobs. Modeled projects in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD, physically assembled designs, and tested solutions to create a working prototype that interacted with customer operations and Makino machines.

The Innovation Challenge encourages students to pursue their own business ideas. The students work in groups throughout the semester to develop their idea, build prototypes, and present to judges for cash prizes at the end of the semester. Students are supported through a $750 dollar stipend for participating, materials for their projects, and free food at every meeting. Meetings include project workshops, speaker events, student socials, prototype presentations, and the Final Competition. The challenge supported 150+ students for the Fall of 2023.
