About Elijah Vasquez, M.A.
Working in student affairs allows me to advocate and provide the necessary support and resources to guarantee the success and development of students in higher education. By bringing my identities to the forefront, students will know from their first interaction that they are welcome to be their authentic selves. As a first-generation, Latinx professional, I believe student affairs allows me to truly engage my personal experiences into my daily work and prepare me to achieve my goals as a student affairs practitioner. I am skilled in mentoring, event planning, diversity-based program development and I have a passion for advocating for equitable access to education. Manage the administrative, operational and program activities of MI-LSAMP, including the Alliance-Wide program, NxtGEN STEM Scholars.Collaborate with university/college leadership, faculty, staff, and students from across the entire Alliance both internal and external constituency.
