I have essentially been doing nothing but writing for the past seven years. From my rigorous, AP coursework in High School to my in-depth and decorated projects in pursuit of my English degree from the Honors College of UMass Amherst, I have proven beyond any doubt that I excel in the academic world. However, I also understand that academics aren't everything, and while the impressive report cards I have earned over the past two and a half years are notable, I wouldn't have worked so hard if it weren't in pursuit of the ultimate goal of graduation and getting into a position that truly means something to me. Thanks to my dedication to academics, I will be graduating from the Honors College this December with a 4.0 GPA and several honorable distinctions after only five semesters in college, helped along by my summer at the University of Oxford in England. I have loved my time at UMass, but it is now time to look towards the future and use what I have learned and practiced to get myself into the world. Professionally, I have gained experience at Outlier AI, where I work as a Supervising Reviewer. Essentially, I not only review the content of AI-generated responses and edit them to better meet certain criteria (meaning editing and reviewing with a keen eye is a skill of mine), but I also review the work of other editors, having been elevated to such a position for my superior contributions. Quality control is very important to me, both professionally and personally, and I do not submit, nor do I allow, low-quality products from myself or those I oversee. I am more than capable of ensuring all work that comes my way, composed by me or not, is up to scratch. Good grades get you to the door, but if I don't have a chance to prove that I can bring my skills into a real-life position, degrees and accolades mean very little, and I would be proud to be given a chance to demonstrate my abilities in both creative and technical writing. My resume and record paint a picture of me, as they should, but the only way to fully understand the quality of the work I can do is to let me do what I do best: write.
