BFGA sought to fix an issue: First-Gen scholars are underserved and were far from able to receive guidance or resources. BFGA aims to provide a platform for our youth to explore career and educational pathways, receive peer-to-peer mentoring, and create a network to set them up for success and a brighter future.As executive director I oversaw a team of 7 youth, delegating tasks, overseeing grant processes, and outreach initiatives.

Worked with 7 other community funders to distribute $100,000 in grants to SF projects annually. Worked with others to develop and lead grant orientations, and manage the grant experience for grantees.

Worked with several other Coordination Team Members to: apply for grants, delegate workload, plan and lead PACA weekly meetings, and empower youth to make positive change through youth-led initiatives.

Mentored and taught youth in deliberating an advocacy project to benefit the community over six weeks and 40+ hours of mentorship and guidance through 10+ youth-led workshops.

SEO Scholars San Francisco addresses the widening academic opportunity gap for underserved high school students in the Bay Area, with a challenging and engaging out-of-school academic program.I actively participated in year-round programming in preparation for academics, college, and occupational success.

Distributed and allocated $200,000 to over 15 initiatives of Bay Area community members. Gave opportunities to over 10,000 under-served community members through initiatives. Integrated social justice philanthropy.Additionally, developed media content for the YFYI team using platforms such as Canva and Instagram for logos and media posts.Led over 40+ hours in developing and leading instructional curriculum for new employees to facilitate the grant-process and professional development.Developed and finalized digital media projects to conduct outreach for grant cycles, using Canva and Instagram.
