I am a transitioning United States Marine who was honorably discharged. I have 4 years of job experience as a satellite operator. 1 year of being a tactical transmission operator and 6 months as a data and networking admin for a variety of mission sets and units. A little about what I did for the United States Marine corps, is that I would create a Wi-Fi connection/ service for any Marine who was in the field who needed to send out information. I have helped over 10+ Marines daily to maintain a connection to services. There are times where we would have to switch satellites and encryptions to maintain a safe environment from any intruders. I have been taught how to be aware of cyber-attacks of any intrusions that may occur and ensured that we maintain encrypted connections. That way our Marines wouldn't be endangered from any data leaks of locations, and operations.During the years I have wanted to further educate myself to have a deeper understanding of networking and cyber security. I have taken the initiative to take classes that would help with obtaining certifications like Net+, I was also in a class for google servers and have certification.in cyber security awareness. With learning these skills, I have put them to use by teaching and helping Marines to look out for cyber-attacks and ensuring the safety of their fellow Marines. I am currently enrolling in school to obtain a degree in cyber security and to also obtain more certs. My goal is to help grow the company with the experiences and knowledge that I have to protect the company from cyber-attacks and to maintain cyber awareness. I'm also enrolled into school, so I am further developing as a valuable asset. I am looking to apply the skills I have learned to increase performance in cyber security engineering.I love what i do and enjoy protecting and keeping people safe from harm's way.
