Director Of Manufacturing
CurrentWorking with management team to set production targets, quality requirements.Planning and designing the manufacturing process.Hiring, management, evaluation, training and developing manufacturing staff.Clearly communicating parts needs to purchasing and/or acquiring parts, and supplies as necessaryMake recommendations to management for capital expenditures on manufacturing equipment.Participate in R&D process as required to provide manufacturing input to any proposed changes in product specifications or design.Coordinate with software team on software/firmware updates, testing and calibration.Coordinate with Operations on shipping, installation and repairs.Conduct analysis on defective sensors to understand what caused failure - track failures and raise component defect issues and suggested remedies to management as necessary.Participate as required in remote repair of defective sensors. Log issues to understand and correct repetitive failures.Reporting metrics on production, quality and cost vs. budget to Chief Hardware Officer.
