Hello! My name is Elijah Day. I'm a Senior at Missouri University of Science and Technology pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering (with a Computer Engineering emphasis).Most of my work experience has taken place in manufacturing environments, working as both an Assembly Worker and as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern. As an Assembly Worker, my work was all hands-on. I developed the use of hand and power tools while assembling various machine parts at Lectro Engineering Co. and fire safety products at Potter Electric Signal Co.As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, I instead worked with manufacturing processes and equipment rather than building product itself. Much of my time was spent creating and updating work instructions for building product, implementing and documenting electrical test fixtures, and improving work stations and layouts, all under the guidance of full-time Manufacturing Engineers.Aside from my education and work experience, I take a personal interest in computers and programming. I am especially familiar with the C programming language for both software and embedded applications. While I do tend to favor C, I have also made use of embedded Assembly and shell scripting.Some of my personal projects can be found on my GitHub profile, included in the "Projects" section below.
