Elijah Duncan is a Senior Manager in the Consulting Division at TNTP, focused on leader and teacher development in PreK-12 education. On a team of consultants, he supports in planning and facilitating instructional leadership trainings and consultancies for district and school leaders. Elijah also partners with a network of school districts to implement reform strategies aimed to raise the quality of classroom instruction through district team coaching with a focus on professional learning, high-quality instructional materials, Common Core State Standards, knowledge development strategies, instructional leadership and coaching, student work analysis, walkthrough observations, data reporting, and trend analysis. Prior to TNTP, Elijah worked at DC Public Schools as an Instructional Leader and Coach, where he mentored other coaches and provided PK-5 instructional coaching in the areas of literacy, math, science, and instructional technology. He has primarily taught in the middle grades in both the US and the Middle East. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education (4-8) and a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology. He also brings a wide range of experience in non-formal education program development, facilitation, and management. He is familiar with several curricula including Eureka Math, Illustrative Math, Jump Math, Wit & Wisdom, Expeditionary Learning, CKLA, Fundations, Amplify, PhD Science, and Stemscopes -NGSS.
