Led, managed and contributed to applied research projects for policymakers and practitioners in government and economic development. My workstreams focused on place-based development finance, small business financing/support and procurement. Co-authored commentary pieces with the Lab director and contributed to reports.

In this role, I led an update to the business and building inventory, surveying over 100 buildings and businesses and developing a database for future use. Additionally, I coordinated small business workshops and serviced 85 businesses and individuals within the district and citywide footprint. Additionally, I created social media profiles for the agency and became the content manager for the UII website. During this time, I developed the organization's first YP committee which successfully graduated two (2) members onto the UII Board of Directors. Finally, I assembled the organization's first annual report in the modern era of the agency.

In this role, I was responsible for para-underwriting activities that included credit analysis, deal structuring, cash flow analysis, liquidity analysis, and credit memos. During this brief period, I was directly responsible for closing several deals for small and medium-sized business.In addition, assisted in providing turnaround management services for an HVAC company which the firm was invested in.

In this internship, I served as the primary client service coordinator and loan packager directly reporting to the managing director.
