I am a professor of anatomy and physiology at Southeast Community College. I also teach undergraduate courses in exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport nutrition for Bellevue University, as well as mentor students on their academic and career goals. I have strong skills in public speaking, analysis of human performance, and statistical analysis. I am continually seeking new techniques and tools to enhance my teaching and research. Additionally, I am committed to contributing to the mission and vision of southeast community college, and to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for students and faculty. I completed my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership through Doane University and will graduate in December of 2024. I pursued this degree with the career goal of teaching health and human performance courses at the university level. My dream job is to teach in the kinesiology discipline and conduct research with students to help prepare them for the next stage in life as they pursue various professions in this field of work. I've been a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) for many years, having held the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification since 2004. I also hold the following certifications and credentials: USAW Level 1 coach, CPR/AED & First aid, and clinical exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
